Learning to Play Again: Leaf Rubbings

This past summer was a slow time for me creatively. I can’t say I have much to show from the last three months, and I had to come to a place where I was ok with that. I’m only just now starting to climb out of the creative rut I’ve fallen into, but I’ve learned that it’s ok to embrace the rut and let it run its course. Sometimes I just have to play like I did as a kid and not take my “making art” so seriously. So here is some fun experimentation with crayons (can’t say how many years it’s been since I busted these babies out!) and lovely leaves.
